  5. all talk, no action:
She has great theories, but she doesn't make any effort to carry them out.

    bark up the wrong tree:
She worked really hard on that assignment before realizing that it wasn't the assignment she was supposed to do.

    couldn't care less:
    This doesn't matter to me.

    drive you up the wall:
She makes me feel angry and frustrated.

    every fiber of my being:
When I said, "I love you," I didn't feel any part of my body protesting the sentiment, which made me realize it was true.

    gives me the creeps:
I feel a tingly sort of muffled terror, that starts down in my stomach and works its way out to my arms, and into my mind.

    In a nut shell:
A summary of the long-winded story I just told, complete with the Whole Point, is...

    kid in a candy store:
I felt like all my most favourite things were laid out in front of me, and I could do whatever I wanted with them.

low man on the totem pole:
    He's a semi-unimportant man in the company.

    raining cats and dogs:
The rain was falling in huge warm drops that ran down your face and hair, and drenched your clothes, in a refreshing, slippery sort of way. Since it was warm, no one seemed bothered. In fact, they all started to dance in the rain together. It occurred to me that the next day, no one would mention this embarrassing digression from the neighborhood's sense of normalcy.
